Software Quality Engineer I - (Los Angeles, CA)

Responsible for the submission, execution, and review of software test protocols in the Software Quality department, under direct supervision. Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects or activities within software quality department. Uses existing procedures to perform the job functionalities and select appropriate alternatives from defined options. SQA Engineers are responsible for the quality of the software that is shipped to customers, used in manufacture of medical devices, used in Cepheid's quality system, and system software that is used throughout the company.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in the execution of test protocols, according to SOPs.Record, report, and verify software defects to accurately depict the software requirementsParticipate in test protocol updates and conduct test design reviewsParticipate in part requirements as neededProvide test result data to draft validation reportCreate change orders in document control systemUpdate traceability
