Job DescriptionThe perfect applicant thrives on communicating with key customers, is proactive and takes initiative before being asked the status of parts or shipments and has worked in manufacturing, foundry or a quick paced, metrics driven, build-to-order manufacturing environment. This is a person who has a good deal of energy and enthusiasm to be on the shop floor 70% of the time, 30% on the phone with customers. Daily Responsibilities:Maintains schedules for material qualifications and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production.Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, type of material received, shipped, in inventory, and/or in production.Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.Uses knowledge of production, procurement
