Postdoctoral Research Associate in Theoretical Cosmology and Numerical General - (Chicago, IL)

Research Position in Theoretical Cosmology and Numerical General Relativity The Physics Department at Princeton University expects to have a postdoctoral or more senior position for a applicant working at the interface between theoretical cosmology and numerical general relativity, nominally starting September 1, 2018. The initial appointment will be for 1yr, with renewal contingent on continued funding and satisfactory performance. A PhD in Physics, Astrophysics, or a related area is required. The postdoctoral fellow will be supported by funds provided by the Simons Foundation under the program entitled Cosmological Bounces & Bouncing Cosmologies (http://bouncingcosmology.com) as part of the Origins of the Universe Initiative which has the goal of developing and exploring theories of early universe cosmology. The fellow will be invited to participate in designing numerical tools for studying the viability and implications of a variety of theories and to join all program activities.
