Plant Engineer III - Full-time/Rotatings shifts and days - (Annapolis, MD)

Position Objective: Performs preventive and corrective maintenance functions on hospital a-c, heating, air supply, and refrigeration systems. Essential Job responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the key functions. Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on all boiler and HVAC plant equipment, including maintaining order and cleanliness within the boiler room. (On 2nd and 3rd shift, perform corrective maintenance and emergency repairs throughout the Medical Center). Makes rounds of the boiler room and designated aux machinery spaces to monitor equipment and operations. Performs required safety test on boilers on every shift, recording readings every 2 hours on critical plant equipment in service. Checks water levels on all heating and cooling systems in use. Collects water samples from each system and conducts tests to determine proper chemical content. Maintains all reports and logs according to departmental policies and procedures.
