Summary PenFed is hiring an Underwriter in our Alexandria Service Center in Alexandria, VA. ? The primary purpose of this job is to underwrite conventional, correspondent, and VA loans in accordance with investor guidelines including the secondary market. The underwriter responds to audits and performs QC on mortgage files. Incumbents of this position acts as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) as defined in the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (S.A.F.E. Act). ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
