Entry Level Accountant - (Hartwell, GA)

Position description:Supports all aspects of the plant s accounting process on a day-to day basis as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting procedures.Key functions:Apply general and cost accounting knowledge and standard accounting procedures.Uses and maintains general ledgers, sub ledgers and supporting systems. Reconciles month end reporting.Prepare financial schedules for reporting to internal and external users of reports.Maintain Capital and Fixed Assets.Assist with preparation of Capital Acquisitions Requests (CARs).Prepare monthly forecasts for capital spending and monitor capital spending.Analyze and prepare departmental reporting for supply spending, scrap reporting, labor efficiencies and other key metrics.Preparation of forecasts for the plant s sales and manufacturing expenses.Assist with development of departmental and plant Annual Operating Plans.Assist with development of cost standards for the new year.Contribute to plan profitability by developing and implementing cost reductions
