Clinical Research Assistant - (Chicago, IL)

GI Associates & Endoscopy Center seeks an experienced Research Assistant to join its growing practice on a full-time basis. The perfect applicant will have at least 2 years of background working in medical research. Assignments include, but are not limited to: Required functions: Patient Care Coordinates appointment scheduling for internal and external appointments. Under direct supervision of the Clinical Research Coordinator, administers informed consent to patient prior to taking history, obtaining vitals, performing EKGs or sending patient for biopsy for any study related procedures. Under direct supervision of the Clinical Research Coordinator, closely monitors patient's health while on study medication and notes each adverse event. Under direct supervision of the Clinical Research Coordinator, thoroughly educates patient of purpose of study, duration, and what is expected of patient.
