Job title Prototype Machinist #3738 Relocation No Location St. Paul Minnesota area SUMMARYThe Prototype Machinist will independently program, setup and operate a broad spectrum of machine tools to produce a wide variety of metal products in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Assignments include the following. Other duties may be assigned.* Use customer input, prints, and engineering drawings to determine and complete the setups and production of all operating sequences* Program, setup, operate, and adjust a wide spectrum of CNC machines as needed to produce product and assure dimensional conformance* Verify and document product appearance and dimensional conformity using a wide variety of measurement equipment and tools* Understand and use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and other advanced inspection concepts* Work from complex and involved sectionalized and part drawings and specifications* Communicate with customer on technical matters* Provide technical assistance in quotation process
