Junior Buyer - (North Smithfield, RI)

Company in Smithfield looking for a Junior Buyer! Temp to hire opportunity. Flexibility on Salary! Background with purchasing for a manufacturing environment a must. Job responsibilities: Provides support to the Supervisor who manages assigned commodities. Assists with procurement of operation & office supplies, R&D demand. Expedite orders as needed. Research inventory levels for resource items, operation supplies & production tools. Work with A/P and the Receiving Department to resolve any shipment issues with the Vendors. Job requirements: High-school graduate required. Associates degree preferred. 2-3yrs of work background purchasing for a manufacturing company. Ideally from buying a variety of goods and services. Knowledge: Current expertise of ERP systems. Quick Books knowledge a plus. Proficient in Ms word and Microsoft excel. Domestic/International import background desired.
