Claims Examiner - (Cedar Rapids, IA)

CRST International, Inc. is looking for detail oriented, highly communicable Claims Examiner to join their team as part of their Great Plains Casulaty, Inc. division located at their downtown Cedar Rapids location. Job description: The claims examiner is responsible for mitigating the companys exposure to each claim under the examiners control through investigation of claims and communication with our operating companies and the claimant. Position qualifications: * Investigate assigned claims made against CRST companies. * Properly set reserves and settle claims within authority based on the investigation, and make recommendations on such decisions requiring higher levels of approval. * Communicate with the claimant to obtain facts, advise of the status of resolution, and come to an agreement on resolution. * Communicate to supervisors and internal clients about the status of claims and reaching resolution on them.
