Aerospace CNC Machinist Level II Weekend Shift (6:00am-6:30pm) - (Auburn, WA)

POSITION SUMMARY Operate computer-controlled machines to perform 1 or more machine functions on metal or plastic work pieces. Oversee work flow and daily activities for CNC work area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Set up manual and CNC equipment without supervision. • Change cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed. • Establish and ensure department standards for safety, quality and quantity are met. • Resolve problems by making decisions to correct constraints. • Assist in equipment set up for Level I and II CNC Machinists to help eliminate non-conformance and spindle down time. • Perform 1st part inspections. • Identify root causes and corrective action for quality problems. • Utilize measuring equipment used in the industry such as calipers, micrometers, height gage and other measuring equipment needed to complete work. • Utilize production work orders and documents. • Ensure all documentation is complete and correct.
