Junior Staff Accountant - (Honolulu, HI)

A Junior Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with General Books (General Ledger) functions. What will I be doing? A Junior Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with General Books (General Ledger) functions. Specifically, you would be responsible for the following: Prepares and posts journal entries and assists in month-end closing. Performs monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including but not limited to room packages and maintenance of gift certificate logs. Process credit card refunds and post credit card advance deposits and NET REZ deposits. Assist Director of Finance with updating all Service Agreements and Certificates of Insurance. Assist Assistant Director of Finance with ensuring that the internal control questionnaire is up to date. Responsible for cash over/short tracking and notifications. Posts daily income journals to the General Ledger. Assists with monthly house bank audits, monthly Upgrade to Paradise incentive and quarterly safety deposit audits.
