Fitness Specialist - HealthPlex - (Fayetteville, NC)

This position is responsible for the day-to-day and longterm implementation of fitness programming. Works with the Fitness and Aerobic Lead and Health Promotions Coordinator to organize, operate and retain special programs in fitness areas for all members. Overall staff coverage for the fitness areas, special programs, events and classes may be required. Job Requirements An Associate degree (exercise science preferred) or an equivalent combination of course work, background, or certifications in 1 or more of the accrediting bodies (e.g. ACE, AFAA, or ACSM in exercise specialist and/or fitness testing and implementation). Must be BCLS certified within 90 days of hire. A min of 1yr of background working with a high volume health and fitness facility is preferred.
