Research Assistant Level III (Military Veterans Wanted!) - (Silver Spring, MD)

Performs research, analysis, development and evaluation of systems, procedures and models in assigned functional area. 1. Public health research/clinical diagnostics laboratory 2. Knowledge of molecular biology and cellular techniques 3. RNA and DNA extractions, amplification of RNA and DNA (RT-PCR and PCR) 4. Electrophoresis 5. Digital Droplet PCR 6. DNA sequencing, sequencing analysis, sterile technique, and tissue culture 7. Use of Macintosh and/or PC related software (i.e. Ms excel and Word) 8. Knowledge in regulatory qualifications for clinical testing under CLIA, CLIP, GCLP, FDA and CAP. Working atmosphere: BSL-2 Laboratory. Bachelors Degree in a scientific discipline. 2-five years of related experience in scientific research and analysis.
