Position description: Responsible for working designated A/R payable by insurance companies. Utilize insurance payer web sites to confirm eligibility and benefits; verify claim status and appeal as needed. Essential Duties: * Validate outstanding claims are billed, received, processed and paid according to carrier contract. * Utilize functionality in application to identify and process denial and unpaid claim queues before timely filling limits occur. * Edit assigned electronic claim denials/rejects and keep daily log of claim rejections. * Assigns failed/rejected claims to CBO staff or physician practice as appropriate * Submit written documentation, remittance advice and/or re-file claim(s) denials to various carriers. * Expertise to navigate payer web sites to facilitate eligibility, claim status, claim corrections, and appeals. * Communicate with patients, staff members of practices, and insurance carriers through their Web sites and/or direct telephone contact to resolve claim issues.
