Dec 18, 2017 - Ending Date: Jan 18, 2018 Dock Supervisor is a working supervisor alongside dock leads and workers to oversee the procedures and freight movement during assigned shift. This person will be responsible for managing work flow throughout the shift, meeting on time commitments set forth by both company and customer; special requirements given by customers and proper management of dock staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Schedules and assigns tasks for dock planning and setup. Observes loading and/or unloading of trucks for proper handling and distribution of freight for transport and ensures timely delivery of freight Supervise operations, procedures, and freight movement. Enforces all safety measures in regard to balance of freight for safe operation of trucks. Enforces compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations.
