Environmental Geotechnical Construction Inspector Main responsibilities: # Observe and inspect geosynthetics approval processes including destructive and non-destructive testing. # Critique summary of tests performed by others. # Prepare daily field reports, weekly construction summaries and monthly reports. # Attend to ?ad-hoc? assignments and address construction issues of concern. # Regular 40-hour workweek including (approximately ten hours) overtime as warranted by daily workload. Secondary Responsibilities: # Sample soils for both geotechnical and environmental purposes. # Review, recommend and perform common tests such as compaction, Shelby tube sampling and geosynthetic field tests. # Operate nuclear densometer to verify tests performed and conclusions reached by others.
