Sr. Maintenance Mechanic - Crane & Forklift (BAR004) - (Chicago, IL)

Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains a variety of equipment which may include: motor vehicles such as internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors; electrical household or commercial appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, or dishwashing machines; or heavy equipment including cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors and pneumatic tools. Works under limited supervision. Requires demonstrated expertise to troubleshoot, overhaul, repair, and maintain all types of automotive, hydraulic equipment, and diesel powered vehicles. Installs specified new or reconditioned parts and/or makes required adjustments and reassembles complete unit. Disassembles engines and mechanical units to inspect parts and operating defects. Executes required preventive maintenance procedures. Performs inspections required by the company or government. Promotes teamwork and actively participates in quality improvement process.
