A Premier Midtown Law Firm is seeking a permanent Trusts and Estates Paralegal. The ideal candidate will have 3 plus years of background (preferably from Large Law), handling all aspects of estate planning and trust administration. This firm has a robust, sophisticated practice. They are seeking an independent worker that can work within a team environment. The applicant should have good communication and people skills. 1 should be able to demonstrate good client relationship skills, team member, reliable and responsible, mature and can do attitude. Responsibilities: 100% Trust & Estates Paralegal Fully knowledge of probate court and familiar with NY Surrogate Courts. Preparation of probate/administration petitions, including the preparation of affidavits and an understanding of the probate/administration process; marshalling of estate assets including obtaining the date of death valuations needed for estate tax purposes. Create family trees if needed.
