Assistant/Associate Professor of Music The Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance is seeking a TenureTrack Assistant or Associate Professor of Music, Ronald J. CrockerChair in Orchestra for the Fall of 2018. This position will serveas Director of the Kearney Symphony Orchestra, direct UNK ChamberOrchestra, the annual outreach Festival Orchestra, and assume themanagerial duties of these ensembles. Additional teaching dutiesmay include other courses commensurate with the applicant'straining, background, and Departmental needs. Exceptionalinterpersonal skills and the expertise to foster communityrelationships is required. Active recruitment and retentionefforts, scholarship/creative activity, and University service areexpected. The screening committee seeks to recommend appointment atthe rank of assistant or associate professor. Appointment isdependent on requirements and credentials. Necessary experience: Master's degree in instrumentalconducting required.
