Product Engineer-Closure Latching Systems - (Auburn Hills, MI)

The Product Engineer-Closure Latching Systems is responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing and production release of body system closure latching systems to meet vehicle and component functional objectives including (troubleshooting, issue solving, implementing solutions, quality improvements, cost and weight reductions) and supports the design and release activities to meet program timing for multiple vehicles. The Engineer is responsible for the development and validation of assigned components through use of predictive tools during design phase through component and vehicle level testing prior to launch as well as communicate technical product status and competitor benchmarking to management. Minimum requirements: Min of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from ABET accredited university Min of 5 yrs of overall engineering background Min of three years of background in Closure Latching Systems Preferred Requirements:
