Planning and Construction Manager - (Chicago, IL)
Job Summary This role is responsible for the District wide renovations and modifications; managing $10 to $20 million dollars of project work each year and providing building ability to users in terms of space standards and ergonomics. Prepares, executes and monitors long and short range building plans. This role is responsible for staffing, making salary decisions, evaluating performance and providing feedback to staff. The level of work is considered advanced and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Directs and coordinates building/construction projects * Collaborates with the Building Operations Manager to allocate in house trade resources * Leads and coaches project managers on projects of varying complexity * Reviews and evaluates vendor proposals and makes recommendations * In collaboration with the Support Team, establishes and monitors expense and capital budgets *
