Purchasing Supervisor - (Columbus, GA)

This role is responsible for overseeing the purchasing efforts critical to driving growth, supplier delivery performance and operational excellence initiatives. A key responsibility will be to drive superior results through implementation of procurement and inventory management methodologies in order to support the development of a world-class operation. This position will supervise 1-4 people. The perfect candidate will have former military procurement or retail buying background along with prior supervisory background. Possesses a fundamental understanding of supply chain management, procurement, distribution, delivery performance and operations management system. Responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of procedures within order processing, fulfillment and supply chain management. Recognizes and resolves process conflicts and escalates key issues requiring decisions or approval as they occur.
