Classified Advertising Representative Job overview:The Southern Illinoisan is seeking an enthusiastic sales professional to join its Classified Advertising Team. This is a full time position. You will be responsible for meeting monthly sales goals by selling print and digital advertising to new and existing customers. In addition, this position will service classified advertising customers by designing effective campaigns, reaching out to renew expiring ads and processing new advertising requests. The perfect applicant will be self-motivated and reliable, have effective communication abilities, particularly over the phone, be comfortable making cold calls and upselling advertising orders. Knowledge of typing, spelling and punctuation required along with general office, computer software, clerical and administrative skills. Previous sales background including a proven record of sales growth and the expertise to sell over the phone is preferred. Hours: Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm.
