Accountant Entry Level - (Marion, IL)

Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities. Will do reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary. Will analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions. Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations. Should have knowledge of and background working with payroll details, taxes, etc. Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations. Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal qualifications by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to qualifications, and advising management on needed actions. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account info and trends.
