CNC Machinist/Operator: DIRECT HIRE, $18-$25, 1st & 2nd shift - (Milwaukee, WI)

A large manufacturing company on the east side of Milwaukee is looking for skilled machinists! This is a DIRECT HIRE position paying between $18-$25. first and second shift positions available. Position assignments -Set-up and operation of various CNC machines, including horizontal & vertical machining centers, turning centers, and others -Set-up and operation of various manual machines including gear hobbers, mills, lathes, and others -Prove-outs, program edits, offsets, and tool changes -Equipment up-keep/maintenance -Provide guidance to lower-level machinists on more difficult parts and set-ups -Inspection of finished product utilizing calipers/micrometers to meet quality standards -Adhere to all safety regulations -Other duties as assigned Minimum experience/Skills -5+ years of Machining background -Strong shop math skills -Expertise to read/comprehend machining blueprints, drawings, and complex written instructions -Effective communication and team work skills -Basic documentation/technical skills
