Senior Software Engineer - Security Group - (Austin, TX)

What You'll Do The engineer in this position will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and adding features to the Fire Linux OS that is used on Cisco’s Firepower Management Center. Who You'll Work With Imagine having the opportunity to work in a team developing security technologies to prevent emerging Internet security threats. You will join Cisco Security Technology Business Unit to develop next generation Web applications for managing Firewall and Intrusion prevention systems. You will work with Cisco’s Fire Linux OS system , the industry recognized CLI Feature to deliver next generation capability. The engineer will be responsible for: • Developing features over the Fire Linux OS delivering industry recognized Cisco CLI • Maintaining (Build and Packaging) the Fire Linux OS including patching third party software components • Updating software packages to their latest versions • Managing legal compliance and security compliance for all packages
