Virtualization Engineer - (Owings Mills, MD)

Job summary: The Virtualization Engineer will design, implement, and maintain a hybrid virtualization environment for an innovation lab and its customers. This position involves exposure to all levels of the OSI network protocol stack, storage networks, as well as strong, time management, and collaboration skills. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated work experience in implementing and maintaining an evolving virtualized landscape in a variety of positions, from systems engineer to applications programmer. In this position, you will assist in the evaluation and testing of new virtualization platforms, develop tools to help automate the certification/benchmarking of platforms, interface with vendors in support of multiple simultaneous proofs-of-concept, and help define the virtualization strategy for the firm. You must thrive in a team environment and have outstanding listening, communication, evaluation, issue solving, multitasking, and task prioritization skills.
