Clinical Lab Scientist (per diem) - (Brentwood, CA)

Position assignments The Clinical Lab Technologist performs independently a wide variety of technical procedures in Bacteriology, Mycobacteriology, Mycology and Parasitology sections of the Brentwood Annex. Other assignments include maintenance repair of laboratory instruments,sample processing, reagent preparation, training, teaching and data entry. On a daily basis, assess overall workload for any area that needs help and assist co-workers without being reassigned by the supervisor. Position mainly covers weekends.Job Requirements The following are required: A current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License. Must have a min of at least 2yrs experience in current technical and practical experience in Microbiology. Strong educational experience and advanced training in Microbiology. Demonstrated working expertise of current instrumentation: Bactec FX and 960, BioMerieux Vitek MS and Vitek2, Centrifuges, Water Baths, Analytical Balance, Fume hood, Biological Safety Cabinet, Incubator.
