Sr. Facilities Engineer (Mechanical) - (Chicago, IL)

Applicant will interact with all divisions of Bath Iron Works in the design and implementation of facility type projects as well as daily field engineering assignments. Responsibilities include oversight and technical support of our HVAC and piping systems, developing engineering packages for facility projects and working with union trades in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Applicant will maintain a high-level of credibility with the customer, peers, and mechanics. The applicant will also work together with all areas of the Facilities Division to ensure daily and strategic capital projects are carried out. Bachelor Degree in mechanical, civil or marine engineering required. Strong preference toward PE certification. •5-years engineering background required, preferably with piping, HVAC and boiler plant operation. •5-years' background in facility type project management preferred. • Demonstrated expertise to identify, develop, and implement major facility initiatives.
