Field Technician- Cable Installer - (Park, KS)

Position overview:Under direct supervision, installs telecommunications equipment at the customer's home or office. Is directly responsible for installations from the node (distribution box), through the tap, to the customer's equipment. Installs analog or digital systems for video, high speed data and voice.. Installs equipment and network interface units and strings lead in wires into customer location. Disconnects and reconnects service as instructed. Communicates with customers onsite, encouraging them to upgrade equipment or service packages. Demonstrates expertise to learn equipment and steps required for correct installations and basic issue solving. Handles routine installations. Receives detailed instructions on all work. Work is closely supervised and reviewed for completeness and accuracy. Entry Level (Developing) Role Typically has0 to 2 yrs of relevant background. Recommended Education: or GED.
