Aspen School District is seeking applicants who are qualified for the following position(s): High-school Long-term Substitute Science Teacher Job summary: Aspen High-school seeks a full time, long-term, substitute teacher for a high-school science teacher on leave. The substitute will begin duties approx the middle of February 2017 and end approx April 4, 2017 osition Summary: The secondary science teacher demonstrates mastery of and pedagogical ability in the content area as well as knowledge of literacy and mathematics to fuel the curiosity of students, helping them understand important scientific concepts and inspiring them to research answers. Qualifications: Candidates must possess a current, initial or professional Colorado teaching license with an endorsement in secondary science or be highly qualified to teach secondary science per definition of the Colorado Department of Education. This instructor will: Demonstrate mastery of and pedagogical ability in the content they teach.
