Piping Designer - (Geismar, LA)

PIPING DESIGNER PLANT IN GEISMAR Long-term Need 9-80 Work Schedule The Piping Designer will be responsible for: Completing field walking unit piping and instrumentation diagram/drawings in order to validate piping routing, valve locations, instrument and equipment tag numbers, etc. and updating CAD files accordingly. Recognizing unsafe situations in the field and reporting them to operations. Identifying process equipment (pumps, reboilers, columns, etc.) and instrumentation in the field. Identifying types of valves (gate, globe, check, etc.) in the field. Identifying steam tracing and electric tracing. EXPERIENCE: The ideal Piping Designer will have: 5+ years of experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and P&ID symbology. An active TWIC card. The expertise to safely climb stairs and ladders to access platforms when needed. EOE F/M/Disabled/Veteran
