Volunteer Coordinator - (Sarasota, FL)

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for supporting AFFB's operations, program, food drives and special events through the scheduling, management and tracking of all volunteers. This includes working with all staff in identifying opportunities for volunteers as well as providing day-to-day oversight, administration, tracking and evaluation in meeting all volunteer needs for food distribution as well as for all special events. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Volunteer Coordination Volunteer Recruitment, Retention and Cultivation Food Drive and Community Event Support Special Event Support Perform other duties as determined Requirements/Skills: BS/BA degree or equivalent in relevant background. Previous background as a volunteer coordinator/organizer preferred. Strong management expertise. Outstanding written and verbal communication expertise. Demonstrated public speaking skills in a variety of settings Excellent Phone Skills Strong people skills.
