Community Organizer - (Providence, RI)

Planned Parenthood of Southern New England has an opening for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Community Organizer to work out of our administrative office in Providence, Rhode Island. In summary, the Community Organizer coordinates efforts by PPSNE to develop and maintain grassroots support networks throughout Rhode Island on behalf of our mission. They implement new and innovative ways to inform the public, especially within the youth immigrant, LGBT community and communities of color, about political issues affecting reproductive health, access and rights in our state, and coordinates efforts by which the public can actively participate in the advocacy of these issues. They manage and supervise the Generation Action internship program which includes informing interns about political and community issues affecting reproductive health, rights and access in our state and nationally.
