Direct Support Professional - (Rochester, NY)

CRITICAL FUNCTIONS: Transport Individuals in an Agency vehicle. Act as mandated reporter if there is reasonable suspicion to suspect abuse or neglect of Individuals and make all required reports in established timeframes, as required by the NYS Protection of People with Special Needs Act. Maintain certification to distribute medications to Individuals as assigned. Maintain certification to perform Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R) and/or PROMOTE. Maintain certification to perform 1st Aid and CPR. Able to enter the swimming pool to ensure safety while Individuals are utilizing the pool as assigned. Able to prepare meals for Individuals while adhering to recommended diet/meal plans. Able to perform and assist Individuals with personal hygiene tasks as needed. Complete all documentation related to daily services provided to the individuals within required guidelines. Maintain all required trainings (classroom and on-line) relevant to the position.
