Assoc Microbiologist 2nd Shift - (Mundelein, IL)

Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Associate Microbiologist-QC located in the Mundelein facility. The Associate Microbiologist is responsible for performing microbiological analysis on raw materials, finished goods, and stability samples. Daily work assignments include: media preparation, sample testing, and general laboratory housekeeping. The Associate Microbiologist should be a self-starter, independent worker who is detail oriented with excellent organizational, technical, GMP documentation and issue solving abilities with a BS degree in Microbiology or closely related science. Assignments include: • Performs assigned Standard Operating Procedures on products and raw materials. • Evaluate new technologies, products and materials as assigned. • Follow all procedures related to data documentation, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices. • Recognizes malfunctions in laboratory equipment and advises supervision or performs simple repairs.
