Staunton Foods, a growing, independent food distributor in the Staunton, VA area is seeking a qualified buyer. This job requires a careful and deliberate, yet imaginative approach to daily decisions. Perfect candidate for this job requires a high-quality and precise focus. Attention to detail and a high-level of accuracy are necessary to be successful in this position. Job assignments include but are not limited to: managing multi line product replenishment from approx 75 vendors; demonstrating proficiency in performing all buying activities; maintaining adequate inventory levels to ensure superior service levels to customers and achieving established gross profit levels while interacting both in writing and verbally with our sales force, customers and vendors. Additional duties require negotiating promotions and marketing opportunities with key vendors.
