MANAGING EDITOR The Opelika-Auburn News, an award-winning newspaper in a rapidly growing market is in search of a news leader who is willing and eager to drive local news coverage, has solid news judgment, design background, background reporting and editing news in a variety of formats to include print, on-line and mobile. We are much more than a daily newspaper in a great university town and we need much more in a news leader than an ordinary editor. We are a 12,000 circulation, seven-day newspaper. The perfect candidate will have a min of 5yrs background in a daily newspaper environment, at least 3 yrs of management experience and will possess strong leadership skills. The successful applicant will understand the necessity of maintaining the highest ethical standards while attacking the changing dynamics of the newspaper industry with a passion that seeks new opportunities instead of trepidation.
