Detailer - Estimator - (Akron, OH)

A rebar detailer trainee would be required to understand, read and interpret engineering structural drawings and architectural drawings, for determining the reinforcing bars required for construction projects. Successful applicants will be given professional training in reinforcing bar detailing via a Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute training course. Additionally, after course completion, the applicant will be given hands on, 1 on one, personal instruction in rebar detailing. The wages of rebar detailer trainees are reviewed every 3-6 mnths max and increases in wages are granted based on progress in learning. A journeyman reinforcing bar detailer is an integral, valuable part of any rebar fabrication operation and often times leads to other positions such as rebar estimator and/or salesperson. All rebar detailing is taught and done on state of the art computer CAD equipment running the latest Micro Station Software.
