After School Program Support - (Benton Harbor, MI)

Position description: Under the direction of the After School Lead, the After School Support is responsible for developing and instructing children in the After School Program. They will assist to provide curriculum that promotes social, physical, and intellectual growth. All decisions must be guided through YMCA standards and program objectives. Requirements: Must be at least eighteen years of age Valid current 1st Aid & CPR Certification Expertise to work autonomously with a group of children Leads in excellence with assertive, respectful communication Expertise to handle and resolve conflicts Positive attitude and flexible approach Dependable and punctual work ethics Expertise to be adaptable, organized, patient, and enthusiastic Alert at all times and have an attention to detail Expertise to work efficiently and cooperatively with leadership and program staff Preferred Background and/or Education Associates degree in Education or related position of study
