Underwriter - (Akron, OH)

SummaCare, a regional health insurance company based in Akron, Ohio is looking for an Underwriter to assist and begin to perform underwriting activities with guidance/training from Director and Sr. Underwriter. Required functions and Responsibilities Completes with all medical products underwriting. Maintains maintenance of quarterly base medical rates for all products Works with sales force to assist with preparation of self-funded and/or fully-insured RFP documents and renewal quotes. Audits quoting accuracy of quoting clerk. Gathers data for standard and ad hoc quoting and underwriting reports as directed by supervisor. Educational Requirements Bachelors degree in Business Administration/Finance or may substitute with 4yrs of like experience. Required requirements 2+ years healthcare underwriting & financial services experience. Software and Data Entry Requirement Ms excel at an intermediate level.
