R& D Scientist - (Rochester, NY)

A min of a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry/Biology, Medical Technology or related sciences field is preferred. A min of 3yrs background in a lab environment is required. Basic understanding of laboratory skills and techniques (weighing, pipette use, volumetric measure, etc.) and data analysis are required. Previous background in experimental design and analytical analysis, including data evaluation and interpretation is required. Familiarity with safe chemical and biological handling required. Basic technical skills (Microsoft word, Excel) along with superior verbal and writing skills will be required. Background in MiniTab or other statistical software is desired. s part of a technical team creates experimental test designs, performs the assay testing on the VITROS analyzers, analyses the experimental data, and summarizes the results aimed for the development of new VITROS in vitro diagnostic products or processes using established protocols and SOPs.
