Safety, Compliance and Maintenance Coordinator - Food Bank of the Southern Tier - (Elmira, NY)

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS : This position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining compliance records and manuals, ensuring that FBST is in compliance with all occupational and food handling safety qualifications, including those of OSHA, DOT, American Institute of Bakers (AIB), Feeding America (FA), NYS Ag & Mkts, Fire Inspector, etc. Assist in identifying best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work related risks, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices. Participates in incident investigations resulting in: personal injury, illness, and property damage: document causative factors and prepare reports. Assist Director of Warehouse Operations (DWO) in facility maintenance including vehicles, equipment and building. Provides backup and support to overall warehouse operations.
