Basic Function: Develops and implements DOT and safety programs, and procedures, Ensures that the company is complying with Federal, State, local laws, regulations and rules, Provides training for all employees, Evaluates workplace hazards, Performs safety inspections, Communicates safety programs and info internally and externally, Conducts incident investigations and root cause analysis, Recommends corrective actions and continued improvement, Documents safety related info and maintains necessary records, Administers worker's compensation management program, and Other duties relevant to the safety management system.
