Technical Manager - (Providence, RI)

Our client is a leading manufacturer of engineered coated fabrics for industrial, commercial and military applications. The Technical Manager is responsible for new product development, product improvement and product modification projects. Manage product development projects using a stage gate process. Evaluate and scale up opportunities, develop project plans, do polymer selection, formulation development, design of experiments, code approvals and commercialization. Develop raw materials specifications, testing standards and product specifications. Provide technical application support to field sales personnel and interact with customers directly. Formulations experience working with; PVC compounds, TPO, TPU, Polyurethanes, Olefins, PE, PP, stabilizers, lubricants, processing aids and other additives and polymers. Form strong supplier relationships and integrate their ability in product development Industrial experience in extrusion, extrusion coating, woven, knit and non-woven fiber and textiles.
