Material Resource Planner (Buyer / Planner) at a specialty glass/advanced optics manufacturing plant with 185 employees in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA area. This is a German-based manufacturer with deep technological ability in developing products and customized solutions for applications in optics, lithography, astronomy, opto-electronics, architecture, life science and researches. Our client has a product portfolio of more than 120 optical glasses, special materials and components. Our client has sixteen locations with 2,500 employees in the US, Canada and Mexico with 17,000 employees worldwide. The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager. This position is that of a sole contributor (no Subordinate employees). A BS/BA degree with 3+ years of background is preferred. However, equivalent work background will be considered. Required experience includes SAP, manufacturing inventory control, production control, shipping, receiving, warehousing and logistics.
