Design Engineer - (Fond Du Lac, WI)

SUMMARY Develop product designs which meet the customer’s specifications and the requirements of form, fit and function. Work with the customers Engineers to determine product use, specifications and compatibility with in-house processes. Strive to simplify the design and maximize the manufacturability for both RB Royal and the customer. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reviews drawings of new and repeat jobs from customers, checking, in particular, customer specifications to determine the most desirable design for customer needs and the best methods for in-house manufacturing. At the request of, or in conjunction with, Sales/Marketing personnel, researches materials and design alternatives to satisfy project requirements, which may include prototyping for design purposes. Uses varied sources and methods for research. Works closely with Manufacturing to assure methods chosen for manufacturing the product are most compatible with existing processes.
