Assistant Teacher - (Montville, NJ)

Position details The person selected for this position will be responsible for assisting the teachers in the general supervision and management of the program, children, and classroom. The person would be working the hours 9am to 6 pm Monday to Friday in our Preschool classroom. Responsibilities Assisting the classroom teachers in planning and implementing the daily program. Assisting in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies. Supervising the classroom when the teacher is out of the room. Helping with general housekeeping tasks. Maintaining professional attitudes and loyalty to the school at all times. Treating all children with dignity and respect. Assisting the director and teachers in other appropriate ways as deemed necessary. Attending staff meeting and programs designed to improve skills and knowledge.
