The Purchasing Specialist f ollows established standards and procedures in the preparation and execution of documents for a surface transportation team within a quasi-government organization. Develops, monitors and supports contracting and purchasing activities for surface transportation function. May produce market research and consolidate market analysis and other due diligence into a concise recommendation for action. Coordinates with contracting officers and various internal clients and legal stakeholders in the selection and negotiation of bidders and award and management of contract and purchasing documents.
